Perspectives: Cullen Underpass
About Perspectives
A collaborative project between Graphic Design, UH, muralist Gonzo247 and TxDot to enliven the freeway underpass through design. Our team’s proposal, Perspectives, represents the history and culture of the four surrounding neighborhoods throughthe use of patterns, color, and iconography.
Six teams presented proposals and ours was selected. The 36 columns installation (20’ x 150’) was completed in June 2019.
My input into this project was in laying out and designing the top half of the column, as well as prototyping the column on a small and then full scale.
